"The 2015 Hattenheim Nussbrunnen Riesling trocken GG has a yellow-golden color and opens with a warm and elegant nose of super ripe fruits; the aromas remain naturally discreet, interwoven with darker, earthy and even some leather and tobacco flavors. There is a great purity indicated that is found again on the finish. The wine is full-bodied, round and complex, a long-distance runner with a ripe and elegant acidity and a long, nicely piquant finish. The Nussbrunnen will need a few years to unfold all its talents, but its structure and perfect ripe fruit indicate a great ageing potential. Compared to the charmingly round and fruity Wisselbrunnen, the Nussbrunnen is the darker, more masculine wine that still seems to think about how it will be performing in five years.
